Does it break your heart when your child says 'I don't know how' or 'I won't do it' at the slightest setback, or throws a tantrum and sulks after losing a game?
As parents, we always want to protect our children from harm, but the truth is that there are some challenges they need to face on their own. If they learn to deal with failure from a young age, they will be less likely to succumb to negative emotions or make wrong turns when faced with pressure and problems later in life.
Resilience is not an innate quality, but a skill that can be learned and developed! At this month's DIC Parenting Workshop, we are honored to have Dr. Wang Chonghan, a specialist in psychiatry, to guide us on how to help children build resilience by learning from their failures. Join us to learn how to encourage your children to find their own solutions to problems, enhancing their resilience and setting them up for a positive future.
Agenda:
1. Understanding and measuring resilience and its significance
2. Common mental health issues in children and adolescents
3. Ways to train emotional intelligence (EI) from a young age
Capacity: 70 people (90 online spots available)
